Sen. Ted kennedy (D-MA) has a malignant brain tumor, doctors treating him at Massachusetts General Hospital said yesterday. The hospital identified the cause of his seizure as a malignant glioma, the most common primary brain tumor. He will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to fight the cancer.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Hillary Clinton has won the kentucky primary over Barack Obama, 65% to 30%.

With 87% of precincts reporting early this morning, Barack Obama is winning the oregon primary over Hillary Clinton, 58% to 42%.

Despite Hillary Clinton’s landslide victory in Kentucky, Barack Obama has won a majority of pledged delegates in the race for the dem nomination. Clinton won Kentucky by more than 30 points, but Obama’s share of the state’s 51 delegates was enough to put him over the threshold, according to CNN estimates.

In her most wide-ranging comments to date on the role gender has played in the dem race, Hillary Clinton said yesterday that sexist attacks on her campaign have been “deeply offensive” and sharply criticized the press for not raising the issue.

The White House yesterday dismissed an Israeli report that bush intends to attack Iran before his term ends in January. A white house statement said that its preference for dealing with Iran remains through diplomatic means.
