John McCain has made a lot of gaffes in this campaign (for a complete list read Steve Benen’s superb piece at Carpetbagger Report today that lists them all). We know that he confused Sunni and Shi’ia many times, we know he thought troops levels in Iraq were down to pre-surge levels (he was off by tens of thousands) and now we know that he is proposing we divest from Iran even though a senior adviser in his campaign does business with Iran. Will anyone notice? Will anyone say, “McCain, why don’t YOU divest before you tell the entire country to do so?!” Yes. We will.
