This Morning On The Stephanie Miller Show

CNN’s White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux calls in at 6:30am to talk about her new hour-long documentary on Barack Obama, debuting this Wednesday at 9pm eastern on CNN.

Presidential contenders Barack Obama and John McCain appeared on stage before a crowd at pastor Rick Warren’s saddleback church in Lake Forest, CA on Saturday. They appeared separately but were asked the same questions, ranging from abortion, their greatest moral failures, gay marriage, and their views on Christianity.

CNN is reporting that John McCain was not in a “cone of silence” at Saddleback Church while Barack Obama was being asked questions (as Rick Warren kept saying), but was in fact in his car on his way to the church. Warren took McCain at his word when he said that he hadn’t heard any of the questions asked of Obama, which would have given McCain an advantage.

Yesterday, Obama called the U.S. Economy a disaster thanks to “John McCain’s President, George W. Bush,” and chided his GOP rival’s campaign for trying to make him look unpatriotic and weak.

Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE), the chairman of the foreign relations committee and thought to be on Obama’s short list for Vice President, is headed to Georgia to meet with President Saakashvili and to show his support for Georgia’s people and government.
