Tonight On The Randi Rhodes Show

BLACK AND BLUE TUESDAY

Tuesdays haven’t been good to us in the past. It was a Tuesday in 1929 when grown men stood in shock and awe in downtown Manhattan in front of the New York Stock Exchange and watched The Jazz Age vanish along with their savings, and the dark night of Depression begin. It was a Tuesday morning when grown men stood in shock and awe in downtown Manhattan and watched the Age of Peace and Prosperity end along with their friends and family, firefighters and police officers and the dark day of enabling a dictator began.

Today is a very dangerous Tuesday for us once again. The final, jarring piece of the Bush Administration’s 8 years of shock and awe is crawling out of its’ hole toward daylight. Leaders from across the spectrum of American thought and ideas have given stark warnings on what can, might and will occur if this $700 Billion creature is allowed to emerge and stretch its claws.

Will it happen?

It’s Tuesday. Anything can happen.
