  1. Ed is likable but ignorant as can be on all the issues. He needs to read some polls before he proclaims we are4 a centrist nation. We are not. Poll after poll prove that the majority of Americans are left liberal progressives. Does Ed even know what it means to be a progressive? His brain went da-da as some conservative ex-congressman raved about the success of the Reagan tax cuts with lie after lie about the results. Poor Ed didn’t even know he was LYING. Tax cuts for those making over $3.2mil/yr went from 75% to 25% under Reagan. As a direct result he increased taxes every single year for those making $25-500k just to try to get back the funding to run the government and that is why the infrastructure got no funding from then on. Reagan even started borrowing from the SS fund to get enough funds for the expanding government to function. The whole republican party got Alzheimer’s from Reagan as he and his policies were a disaster to the nation except for the very very wealthy. You should know this stuff Ed like you should know that Daschle is owned by big pharm and Big insur. and there is no such thing as clean coal…there is cleaner coal that we can’t stop without damaging the nation but the earth’s environment will make sure we can’t breathe and have a constant drought as a result. We have to find a way to get off of coal and the only people pushing it are those who stand to profiteer from it. Just because you mention that most of the righties you know are moving center, it doesn’t make them or you progressive. I know you can define far right but you can never be too far right. You cannot however define far left and too far left is wanting national health care ins.. This is now a liberal nation…check the polls…so this centrist view of people ‘coming together’ is really people just being liberal…but that word has been demonized and you can’t say it…ergo…’centrist’.
