Capitol Switchboard: (202)224-3121

From the folks at Fuse Washington

I received this email today -

Call Your Representative:

(202) 224-3121

Tell your Rep. to support and strengthen the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

Warning: This is the Capitol Switchboard, it may be very busy.

Dear Friend,

Our representatives in Congress have one chance to pass a desperately needed federal law aimed at creating green jobs and reducing global warming pollution.

We have one day left to speak up and make sure they pass it. The House of Representatives is voting tomorrow. We must speak up TODAY.

We know one thing for sure – our country can’t afford to wait any longer to tackle this problem. We need the jobs offered by a clean energy economy, and scientists have made it crystal clear that the “wait and see” approach has devastating consequences.

There is one thing you can do to make a difference on this vote.

Please join with thousands of people across the country and call your member of Congress right now! Urge them to oppose any moves to weaken H.R. 2454, support all efforts to strengthen it and vote to pass it so we can make it even stronger in the Senate.

(202) 224-3121

The American Clean Energy and Security Act1 will decide our policy on global warming and will weigh heavily on the negotiations later this year for an international treaty on global warming.

The next generation needs you to call Congress today and tell them to fight for their future and pass the American Clean Energy and Security act tomorrow. A moment like this may not come again. Every year we delay dealing with the problem of global warming means more lost opportunities to create jobs in a clean energy economy, and ever-increasing threats to our very way of life.

We must keep up the pressure on our representatives. They must hear from us before a vote happens as early as tomorrow. Call your representative and tell them why we need a strong American Clean Energy and Security Act.

(202) 224-3121

The science is urgent and the world is waiting. Congress needs to step up and deliver the strongest climate bill it can produce this year. It won’t be perfect but after decades of denial and inaction we need to break the deadlock. We need Congress to fight for the best bill possible and deliver without further delay.

Make the call.

Thanks for all you do,

Aaron and the entire team at Fuse
